Feed Budgeting
The FEED module is designed for pastoral farmers, to give you a reasonable idea of what your feed surplus or deficit will be at any time.
You can use any unit of feed supply or demand that you like. The most common ones are `Kilograms of Dry Matter (kgDM)' or `Mega joules of Metabolisable Energy (mjME)'. You must be consistent and use the same unit in both the feed demand and feed supply.
It will automatically adjust the projected feed surplus or deficit for any stock sales or purchases.
It is not used for feed lotting or `least-cost' feed mixes.
If the graph is above the horizontal line then you have a surplus of feed. If the graph is below the horizontal line then you do not have enough feed.
The following graph shows the accumulated amount of feed on a month by month basis.
