- Version 5 in its final testing phaseWe have
been talking about Version 5 (LandMark 2007) for some time now. It's in our final
beta testing phase. This means it is in the hands of a few of our subscribers
who are giving it heaps. All going well it will be in the hands of our subscribers
by Christmas. LandMark 2007 has taken longer than we anticipated to finalise but
we think you'll agree the wait will have been worth while. LandMark 2007 will
run on Microsoft Vista and other Windows platforms going back as far as Windows
2000. We have ventured into, rewritten and restructured the program and now believe
we have future proofed LandMark software. If you wish to have a peep at a few
screen shots of the new program, follow these links Version

2007 - Reports 26 November - Rural Administration ServiceFor
folk who don't like belting away at a keyboard and would sooner use the time more
profitably doing something else, we are about to launch a new Secretarial Service.
This service will use the LandMark Software from the very basic financial level,
to the fullest extent of its farm management potential depending on individual
subscriber's requirements. With compliance. traceability and stock movement recording
becoming legal requirements in the near future, using some of the farm management
features of LandMark will become more necessary. If you are interested in this
service it could be worth your while calling 0800 617 788 and asking for John. top

is gathering momentum. As people realise the
advantages of subscription, more and more are coming on board with i.Agri. The
University of Florida who did a one year experiment on subscription found it to
yield an enviable outcome. Subscription seems to becoming more common in the software
industry as it benefits all parties. It certainly keeps us on our toes. If you
would like to read more about their findings click
here. Also check out our Benefits
of Subscription. top of page November
200610 November - On the road again!Yes
we are heading back up north for another round of seminars, due to the interest
we received from our last Newsletter. The first of which will be held by John
in Hamilton on Tuesday 14th November. He is then in Wanganui on Thursday 16th
November. We will be holding more North Island seminars early next year as time
constraints and farming committments have made a long trip away impossible at
this time of year. So we are aiming for the Whangarei, Gisborne, and Napier seminars
to be held during February 07. South Island seminars in Darfield, Rangiora, Amberley
and Blenheim will be held over the course of the next few weeks. Keep your eye
on your mailbox for your invitation! Our Forum is back up and running, feel
free to check it out here. You can find the regular
link to the forums on our Support page for future reference. If you missed
out on our recent Newsletter, or want to see it again, click
here. top of page June 2006Developement
of this superior product has been worth waiting for! We are pleased to provide
it free to our LandMark Farm Subscribers. March 20068
March - We are back from SeminarsWe would like
to thank all the people who attended the lower south island seminars. We have
received a lot of feedback that is currently being considered for Version 5 of
Landmark. If you have any other feedback that you did not raise at the seminars
you could post it on our forum. Click here
to check it out. 15 March - Version 5 developmentWe
have found from our seminars that there are some very important features that
will need to be placed into the new Version 5. We are currently working very hard
on developing and testing these new features, we will let you know when the new
version will be released in the future. top

051 Dec 05 - North Island Workshops, PDA,
Xmas. With all the organisation that went into the
North Island seminars, November surely flew past! The seminars were a great success
by the way, again with loads of feedback from those who attended. We are still
busy in the office, with a few changes occurring here and there and much anticipation
of release dates! The Landmark PDA is just about ready - Hooray! We don't want
to release a product that does not function as it should, and ironing out the
small stuff is imperative if we want to keep our subscribers up to date and hassle
free when it comes to their programmes. This explains the minor delay. Please
be patient for us, it will be worth the wait! We have also sourced a supplier
of the PDA hardware, which we will be able to offer to our subscribers at a reduced
price, which is more good news for you! Our next newsletter will be in the
post very soon. If you did not receive a copy, click here
to see it. In the mean time, we wish our Seasons Best to all, and hope you
have a safe and happy holiday season! Merry Christmas!!!top
of page October 051 Oct - Beginning
of October alreadyWow! October already,
where has the time gone! Apologies for the delay in keeping this page updated.
The Version 5 project is keeping all of us here in the office extremely busy.
It is looking really good though and at this stage we are confident of maintaining
a release date very early in the new year. Thanks to those of you who have contacted
us with your interest in the PDA's. We are in the process now of testing (which
is going really well) and also checking out possible suppliers for subscribers
who are interested. Subscribers can anticipate a release of the PDA's around mid-November
at this stage. Not long to go now! There were moments of excitement recently when
we found out that Microsoft and Palm Pilot are possibly joining forces to create
a platform that has more flexibility in prices and sophistication for users, so
we'll keep you posted about that, and hopefully, other PDA deals we can offer
our subscribers. 7 Oct 05- November Seminars/WorkshopsPlanning
and organsiation for our first North Island seminars has begun, so please keep
your eyes out for your invitation. We intend to hold four seminars, the first
in Auckland (Nov 11) the second in Rotorua (Nov 14th), then Taranaki (Nov 16th)
and the Wairarapa (Nov 18th). Please remember that these dates are not confirmed
at this stage. Your invitations will have the definite details noted on them.
Time limits us to these destinations this time around, but we do plan to have
another trip up next year, so those of you who are not near these areas will not
miss out all together. When you receive your invitation, please contact us asap
to let us know if you can make it. Each seminar will be held between 10.30
am and 2.30 - 3 pm and lunch will be provided. We look forward to meeting you
there! 7 Oct 05 - ForumsHave you managed
to have a look at our forum yet? It's worthwile visiting, especially if you have
a question about Landmark or iAgri.
It is checked regularly and new messages are responded to promptly, so click here
to check it out. top of page 26 Oct 05 -
South Island Seminars/WorkshopsWe have
had such a huge number of people enquiring about seminars in the South Island,
that it was decided best to post something up here on the website. At this stage,
seminar dates have been tentatively set for February 06. The locations will include
Invercargill, Alexandra and Milton, however these locations may change depending
on venue accessability etc. We also hope to make it up to the top half of the
South Island and over to the West Coast, so make sure you register your interest
with us as soon as possible, so we have an idea of numbers to make the visits
viable. top of page July 054
July - Google has Maps!We have just
heard and checked out the new Google Map site, and it is great! Now don't get
too excited as it appears to still be in the primary stages. If you live in America
then its really great, but as far as New Zealand goes, there is only a satelite
image at the moment, and you can't zoom in too close, but it's looking good! If
you want to check it out, go to www.maps.google.com.
What will they think of next? If you didn't already know, you can download the
google desktop search engine which sorts all the files hidden on your computer,
so if you ever need to find something on your PC, you can just do a google search,
and its FREE! We think this is a very handy tool. 7 July - Leeston Workshop/SeminarWe
would like to thank everyone who came to our Workshop/Seminar held on Friday 1
July '05 at the Leeston Hotel. It was a great success judging by the feedback
we had. Some of our subscribers left with new tricks on areas of the program they
didn't know were there! It is really nice for us to be able to meet our subscribers
and put a face to the name, and vice versa. We will be doing more Workshops/Seminars
in the future all around the country. If you would be interested in having a Workshop/Seminar
in your area, we have a part of our forum that is devoted to Workshop/Seminar
interest that you can look at here. top
of page June 0529 June - Creation of
a ForumWe have just added a forum to our website
that you can go to by clicking here.
It is a place where you can post messages for other Landmark users and the staff
at iAgri.
Who knows, you may even help out other people with their Landmark problems, if
you know the answer to them. We welcome all Landmark users to pop in and share
their thoughts, and maybe even their shortcuts or tips they might have or use.
There is a section for posting your ideas for features you would like to see in
future editions of Landmark, and also a section for posting interest in Workshops/Seminars
in your area. top of page May 20051
May - A data filter for CashbookWe have
added a feature to give the user an option to only list transactions in the cashbook
between user specified dates. This will be availiable in new update. top
of page April 2005 Welcome
to new website Well another year is ticking
by, and already we are facing the prospect of Winter (SO SOON!). Here at the office
we have begun planning for Landmark Version 5, with loads of ideas and opinions
being thrown around. If you have any suggestions for improvements or ideas you'd
like to see included in the programme, please let us know. We have undergone
a few changes in the office with Catherine leaving us to start her family, and
Pip and Duncan joining the Help Desk/Support team (among other areas of course).
Many of you may have already had dealings with them, and we hope you find them
to be courteous and helpful. 15 April - Newsletters
Recently
we sent a newsletter out to our subscribers, asking for their ideas about what
would make Landmark even better for them to use. We have had some great feedback
so far, with many people interested in the idea of workshops in their area and
also the possible incorporation of palm pilots into Landmark. We have always based
our product on meeting the needs of our users, so if you have any ideas or suggestions
you think would be relevant to the Landmark programmes, please jot them down and
send them in to us. 16 April - Spring Promotion
In
Spring last year, we ran a promotion for all our existing New Zealand clients
(users of versions 1, 2 & 3) to join us on our subscription plan and we had
a great response. We ran a follow up promotion during January and February of
this year for the last time. The response to the second promotion was fantastic!
We wish to thank everyone and we hope that all those migrators out there are happy
with their new software. Don't forget you can call us at any time for support
or with any questions you may have. For those of you existing users that didn't
receive the promotion, (and there are a few of you) due to mail returns etc, please
call the Help Desk to see whether this offer interests you. For all those
existing users who didn't take up our recent offer, please be aware that you will
be charged for any support calls you may make to the Help Desk. There is a standard
charge of $3 per minute, with a mimimum of $45 per call. 16 April - Accountants
PromotionWe are about to release a new
promotion for accountants within New Zealand and Australia. The basics of this
offer are that we will supply our Landmark Software that has been modified to
represent the accounting firm, with their logos and contact details prominantly
displayed within the software. Essentially these firms will become resellers of
our product, and will be able to offer concessions for their clients who want
to become subscribers to Landmark. To register your interest or to discuss the
offer, please contact John Lay on 0800 617 777 or jlay@iagri.com 17 April
- WorkshopsEarlier we mentioned the idea of holding
workshops throughout the country for those that are interested. These will not
necessarily be for subscribers only, they are aimed at all users of Landmark,
and the idea is to help our users get a better understanding of the programme
and not just the cashbook! There are heaps of different modules we get inquiries
about so we thought the best thing would be to demonstrate them. Most likely the
workshops will be publicised in the local papers about a month in advance of the
workshop stating the cost and venue etc and asking those interested to contact
us. That way we can have an idea of numbers attending. At this stage we anticipate
the cost of attending at approximately $10 per person for non-subscribers, and
no charge for subscribers. 17 April - Personalised InvoicesWe
have the capability to put your company's logo or watermark into your invoices.
For more information on this click
here 17 April - Remote Desktop ProgramWe
have developed a program that allows us to look at your computer and help fix
problems interactively. top of page |
