Farm Mapping

Landmark farm - mapping aerial Landmark Farm - mapping paddocks Landmark Farm - mapping gross margins

There are several methods of creating a map in LandMark. The easiest and simplest method is for the user to first import an aerial or satellite photo of the farm into the program. Photos should be in a BMP (Bitmap) or JPG (Jpeg) format although other formats including Ground Positioning Systems (GPS) DXF or SHP files can also be imported but may require consultation with the help desk hq@iagri.com . Once a photographic image has been imported into the mapping module, it is a simple matter for the user, using the mapping tool, to accurately draw the boundaries of each paddock on the photographic template.

Simple Summary

  • Import photograph, picture or GPS files.
  • Draw one Paddock at a time.
  • Save each paddock, its name and area (These can be calculated if the accurate area of one paddock is known and registered).
  • Have more than one farm on one layer if run as the one business.
  • Add features to any one of 256 transparent layers such as Tracks:

    • Streams:

    • Power Lines
    • Trees
    • Paddock names
    • Buildings
    • etc...
  • Use colours and icons to enhance
